How to Solve Bootmgr Missing Error?

BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart

“ BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart ”   The cause of “Bootmgr is missing Restart: CTRL+ALT+DEL ” error means that Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10 boot partition is corrupt or missing.

There may be file system errors caused by Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 boot partition corruption, damage to NTFS or FAT32 system, Virus or similar malware, power outages, direct, irregular shutdowns.

Bootmgr is missing

To resolve “ BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart ”   “Bootmgr is missing Restart: CTRL+ALT+DEL ”, follow these steps:

First  of all, make sure that devices such as CD/DVD and USB disk are not plugged into your computer.  If one of them is installed, restart your computer after removing it. Sometimes, a USB portable disk with no boot feature and boot priority can cause this problem. When your computer sees such a USB disk inserted in the system, if the boot priority is given to USB devices, it will try to boot from the USB disk. But since it cannot find the boot files on the USB disk, “ BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart ”   will give the error “Bootmgr is missing Restart: CTRL+ALT+DEL ”. If the above-mentioned situations are not in question, you can start doing the following steps.

If this is the first time you get the “BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart”   “ Bootmgr is missing Restart: CTRL+ALT+DEL ” error, restart your computer. If the error persists, proceed to the following steps.

For the repair process, you will need the installation disc of the operating system you are using, whichever of Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 operating systems are used. You will need to boot your computer with one of these discs.

You need the Windows installation disc for the following operations.

  1. Insert  the Windows Vista ,  Windows 7 ,  Windows 8 and windows 10  installation disc into your computer ( DVD, CD or USB will be ) and then start the computer.
  2.  Press any key when the message Press any key to boot from CD or DVD appears.
  3. Select the language, time and currency, keyboard or input method, and then  click Next .
  4. Click Repair your computer .
  5. In the System Recovery Options  dialog box, select the drive where Windows is installed  and click Next .
  6. In the System Recovery Options  dialog box  , click Repair your computer .
  7. Click the operating system you want to repair, and then  click Next .
  8. In the System Recovery Options  dialog box,  click Startup Repair .

When the Windows Repair process is finished, try to turn on your computer. If the problem is not resolved, continue with the steps below.

  1. Insert  the Windows Vista ,  Windows 7 ,  Windows 8 and windows 10  installation disc on your computer into the disk drive and then start the computer.
  2.  Press any key when the message Press any key to boot from CD or DVD appears.
  3. Select the language, time and currency, keyboard or input method, and then  click Next .
  4. Click Repair your computer .
  5. In the System Recovery Options  dialog box, select the drive where Windows is installed  and click Next .
  6. In the System Recovery Options  dialog box , click  Command prompt  .
  7. In Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10 Black At the command prompt screen, type C: \ and  hit enter  . C  drive represents the drive where the Windows Vista / Windows 7 operating system is installed.
  8. Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10 black At the command prompt screen  , type Cd boot  and  hit enter  .
  9. Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10 black At the command prompt screen, type Bootrec /FixMbr  and  hit enter.
  10. In Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10 black At the command prompt screen, type Bootrec /FixBoot  and  press enter.
  11. In Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and windows 10 black At the command prompt screen, type Bootrec /RebuildBcd  and  press enter .
  12. Finally,  type  Chkdsk /R  and press enter  to fix disk problems.
  13. After running the above commands, type Exit in the C:\ drive and press enter. Close the command prompt screen. Restart the computer.

“ BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart ”   “Bootmgr is missing Restart: CTRL+ALT+DEL ” error will be fixed at the end of the above actions. What you did was repair the Boot and Master Boot Records areas, and finally scan your hard drive for errors.
